Su uso se generaliz\u00f3 en 2005, tras surgir en los c\u00edrculos de publicaci\u00f3n web y producci\u00f3n de contenidos de nuevos medios. Se utiliza para una amplia gama de aplicaciones, como el tratamiento de problemas, las noticias, los cotilleos y la investigaci\u00f3n, y refleja la expansi\u00f3n de la producci\u00f3n de medios a trav\u00e9s de nuevas tecnolog\u00edas accesibles y asequibles al gran p\u00fablico.
